Dread TV, becomes a reality with View TV Playout

Dread TV the amazing horror channel launches with View TV. In time for NAB 2022, View TV has announced that Dread TV, the cult horror FAST channel has aligned with and will be rebuilt using the FAST 2.0 Standard.

“Dread TV, which is owned by a Los Angeles-based company, Epic Pictures Group, features horror videos, podcasts, news, and features on the genre. The channel is dedicated to providing the best experience from the world’s most popular horror brands. Their dark design is to bring genre fans a wide variety of free horror movies from distinct and terrifying voices celebrating the ultimate collection of horror hits.” said Jamie Branson, CEO of View TV.

“The transformation in look and feel of the rebuilt Dread TV once the FAST 2.0 Standard is applied will be extraordinary. It allows me to add value to the channel and to the platforms that will host it including Roku, Samsung+, Tubi, Vizio, Jungo TV, TCL and another 13. We know that a traditional television format will gain more viewing hours and revenue” said Patrick Ewald, CEO Epic Pictures Group. “

The rebuilt Dread TV will also appear on the View TV Group Connected Television (CTV) platform, Kapang broadcasting in the UK and US. The previous channel feed to other platforms has been replaced and will be free of any fixed charge / connector fee, using View TV Group’s broadcast content delivery network, Broadcast CDN.
